WinCLD has helped my managers and crew keep proper amounts of food in the UHC's and keep salads, soups, pies, parfaits, fries, etc. We use frozen buns and we use WinCLD to pull a 2 day supply. It recommends levels for Fajitas, Burritos, and hotcakes to defrost for the next day, Bagels to bake each day, etc. As we have more and more products to manage WinCLD forecasts usage to give managers directions and for crew to use routinely throughout the day. We have used it for two years and feel like it has always been there for our use. Our waste was low before WinCLD but with it we are able to run much lower raw waste. We have had no problems with the system or the hardware. We have used the daily transactional data to look at promotions and customers buying patterns to more realistically analyze "outrageous discounts." I have found that my cabinet levels and times have improved greatly since we started using the system. I have noticed a decrease in my raw waste as well as less expired holding times. I would have to say that installing your WinCLD has been a large factor in our food cost coming down by 2-1/2 to 3% over the time we have had it. Other factors have played a part but that was a major part. It is easy to program and maintain. The crew like it and it allows for managers to manage the floor more and not the cabinets as much. It takes guess work out of trying to save food cost dollars but maintain good levels for good service times and quality product. Dave Meyers' WinCLD system really works. It does an outstanding job in calculating what is needed in the cabinet and most importantly the crew love it. The crew not only love it but use it. It is a tool I highly recommend for all operators as I have it in four of my stores. It quickly pays for itself as raw waste is minimized.
